อุทยานแม่ลามหาราชานุสรณ์ คำว่า "แม่ลา" เป็นชื่อลำน้ำ
สายหนึ่งในท้องที่จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี ไหลผ่านพื้นที่ ๓ อำเภอ คือ 
อำเภออินทร์บุรี อำเภอบางระจัน และอำเภอเมืองสิงห์บุรี เป็น
ลำน้ำธรรมชาติที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ไปด้วยอาหารของปลา 

   ฉะนั้น ปลาที่จับได้จากลำน้ำแม่ลาจึงอ้วนเนื้อนุ่มมัน รสชาติ
อร่อยโดยเฉพาะปลาช่อนแม่ลาเป็นอาหารและของฝากที่มีชื่อ
เสียง ของจังหวัดสิงห์บุรี ปัจจุบันมีการอนุรักษ์ฟื้นฟูลำน้ำแห่งนี้ 
ให้มีทัศนียภาพที่สวยงาม เพื่อเป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจของ
ประชาชนทั่วไป

    อุทยานแม่ลามหาราชานุสรณ์ อำเภอบางระจัน เป็นสถานที่
ที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อถวายสักการะแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวใน
วโรกาสที่ทรงเจริญพระชนม์มายุครบ ๖๐ พรรษา คำว่า "แม่ลา" 
เป็นชื่อลำน้ำสายหนึ่งในท้องที่จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี ไหลผ่านพื้นที่ ๓ 
อำเภอเมือง อำเภออินทร์บุรี และอำเภอบางระจัน 

     เป็นลำน้ำธรรมชาติที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ไปด้วยอาหารของปลา 
ปลาที่จับได้จากลำน้ำนี้จึงมีรสชาติดี อร่อย เนื้อนุ่ม มัน โดยเฉพาะ
ปลาช่อนแม่ลา ซึ่งเป็นของฝากที่ขึ้นชื่อของจังหวัดปัจจุบันปลา
ช่อนแม่ลาหายากขึ้นทุกวัน 

     ทางราชการจึงได้พยายามหาทางอนุรักษ์ปลาเหล่านี้ไว้ โดย
การขุดลอกลำน้ำ เพาะขยายพันธุ์ปลาและสร้างอาคารแม่ลามหา
นุสรณ์ริมฝั่งแม่ลา และจัดให้เป็นสวนธรรมชาติสำหรับเป็นสถาน
ที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจของประชาชนผู้เข้าเยี่ยมชม 

Mae La is the name of a river which flows through three distrricts of the
province.The water is rich in nutritional value for fish. Therefore,the fish
caught from the Mae LaRiver are all succulent and highly tast, particularty
the local striped snake-head fish. 

There is today an ongoing project to restore and conserve the river to
maintain its scenic environment as a place of relaxation for the general
public.

Mae La Maharachanusorn Park,Amphoe Bang Rachan. Built to
commenmorate the 60th  birthday anniversary of His Mafesty the King,
the Park was named after the Mae La River,which flows through Muang,
Inburi and Bang Rachan distrects.The river has abundant natural food
sources for fish,and fish caught from this river are said to be especially
delicious-tender andrich,especially the snakehead mullet.

This fish, which has become the most sought-after gift for vistors to
the province to bring back home, is fast becoming rare.To preserve
the snakehead mullet,the government has dredged the watercourse
and is propagating fish stocks in their natural setting. A memorial
park and building have also been constructed on the riverbank,
providing a lushrest area for visitors.
